My practical experience has been in the field of systems engineering,telecommunications, facilities engineering, computer configuration and programming. My competencies include wireless and long haul communications. My computer skills include C, C++, Java, AVR microcontrollers and writing shell scripts, I also possess experience with Linux and Windows systems administration. I have a demonstrated track record of superior technical expertise in troubleshooting and problem resolution and have held positions with both the US Government and in private industry. Chief Steward & Building Engineer:

Oversight of the fixed propery of a large size (60,000 square foot) United Methodist Chruch with two off-site building in Arlington, Virgina. Responsibilities include oiversight of building and grounds maintainence, church personnel, church infrastructure support platform and rental or disposition of underutilized building space.

UNITED STATES PATENT AND TRADEMARK OFFICE, Alexandria, Virginia – 2008-2012

Patent Examiner:

Utilized extensive telecommunications background to examine patent applications and determine novelty / adherence to United States Patent Statutes. Stayed abreast of all forms of telecommunications / wireless technology to approve or reject specific application claims. Worked with application attorneys to bring clams into condition for allowance. Wrote allowance documents for patentable claims in cellular telephony / data, WLAN / WAN applications, and numerous wireless applications.

AA TRUCK AND AUTO Newington, Virginia – 2004-2005

Computer and Network Technician

Maintained, repaired, and built personal computers for employees, installed and administered 100BaseT network, as well as configuring Windows 2003 server. Managed network printers and configured network software including Quicken and truck repair management system. Repaired specialized computers including alignment machine, while recommending new computer and network technology purchases.

KATHPAL TECHNOLOGIES, Fairfax, Virginia – 1994-2004

Systems Engineer

Engineered, installed, and maintained Octel voice mail systems for United States government agencies, including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and United States Patent and Trademark Office. Interfaced and collaborated with government technical associates to design voice mail installations including DC power, communication systems, and system monitoring. Implemented Interactive Voice Response System, writing Java programs to interface with database, and troubleshooting / resolving system problems. Established document management system for United States Social Security Administration and developed Java code to access mainframe database and provide housekeeping background functions.
