I worked with a man named Bill Grant. Growing up in a New York city orphanage gave him a unique life perspective and the ability to find the positive aspects of many situations. I don't know if this was original on his part but he spoke of mankind's progress in terms of rolling a boulder up a hill from the jungle below to the utopia above. Of course the boulder is huge and when all is said and done none of us individually will have moved the boulder any perceptible distance. What matters then, in judging our contribution, is if we help to push the boulder up the hill or if our efforts result in pushing it back down.
Whatever you do may seem insignificant to you, but it is most important that you do it.
